17-year-old girl stabbed in northeast Calgary home, police seeking assistance

A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured in a stabbing in the community of Whitehorn on Sunday evening.

Emergency crews were called to a home in the 700 block of Whitehill Way N.E. just before 11 p.m.

When they arrived, paramedics found the girl outside the home suffering from a stab wound.

She was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition but later upgraded to stable condition.

In a Monday news release, police said it’s believed over 20 people were in the home at the time of the incident.

Investigators have interviewed a number of potential witnesses and are going over CCTV footage from the area. As of Monday, no suspect had been identified.
