The 61-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lethbridge police initially considered her death suspicious “due to the circumstances, including the location of the body outdoors and no obvious cause of death,” a news release Wednesday said.

An autopsy was completed on Jan. 31 at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary.

Toxicology results are still pending and the police investigation will remain open until those results are received, police said.
