A huge fire is still burning in Richmond this afternoon.
The fire is on Mitchell Island, at 13611 Mitchell Road. This is the location of Aabc Recyclers Group, an auto wrecking business. It is unclear at this time how the fire started but a large pile of scrap cars caught fire.

Multiple units from Richmond Fire Department are on scene trying to put out the blaze.
Black smoke can still be seen across the Lower Mainland, from North Vancouver to Surrey.
