Two men are in custody after a 24-year-old man said he was held against his will during an eight-hour drive from Alberta.
Regina police were called to the 1400 block of Park Street at around 12:53 a.m. Thursday morning for a report for a forcible confinement.
Police said a 24-year-old man told them he was held against his will during an eight-hour drive from Alberta by two other men who were armed with a gun and a stun gun.
At around 5:20 a.m., officers found the suspects’ vehicle at a motel parking lot in Regina’s east end. Due to potential guns, SWAT and Crisis Negotiators also responded to the call.
The two were taken into custody without incident at around 10:05 a.m. Officers also located one gun.
Police said the 24-year-old man had no visible injuries and declined EMS assistance. Regina police are still investigating the incident.
