A male was taken to hospital following a single-vehicle crash that damaged a hydro box in Toronto’s east end early Friday morning.
The collision happened around 3 a.m. near Old Kingston Road and Kingston Road.
Initial reports indicate the vehicle somehow left the roadway, struck a hydro box and ended up landing on its side.
Firefighters needed nearly 30 minutes to extract the male occupant from the vehicle.
There’s no immediate word on the extent of his injuries.
Damage to the hydro box also caused a power outage in the area.
The crash is under investigation.
