Trio of Edmonton Eskimos named CFL All-Stars

Edmonton Eskimos Adarius Bowman, Derel Walker and Almondo Sewell have been named to the CFL All-Star team Wednesday.

Bowman lead the league with 1,759 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He was named CFL Player of the Week during the third week of the season and CFL Player of the Month for September.

It’s the third straight year the receiver has been named an all-star.

Fellow receiver Derel Walker has been nominated for his second consecutive all-star award. He recorded a career-high 109 receptions for 1,589 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The pair broke the CFL record this season for most receiving yards by teammates with a combined 3,318 yards.

Defensive tackle Sewell has been named an all-star for the fourth consecutive season. He recorded the most tackles in the league for his position with 38.

Sewell also had 11 sacks which was the most on the team and tied for the most in the CFL among defensive tackles.
