Police release sketch of suspect in Edmonton sexual assaults

Edmonton police released a composite sketch Tuesday, hoping to identify a suspect in a number of sexual assaults that happened over two days last month.

A woman reported she was groped by a man while walking through a parking lot in the area of 146 Avenue and 25 Street on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at around 6:20 p.m.

A second woman reported she was walking from the Clareview LRT Station to the Clareview Recreation Centre the same day at around 7:30 p.m. when a man came up from behind her and groped her.

A third woman told police a man approached her from behind and groped her on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at around 9:40 a.m. while walking to a bus at 137 Avenue and 27 Street.

Police describe the suspect as a slim man, about 5’7″ or 5’8″ tall with a full beard and moustache. They say he was wearing a black or dark toque in all three incidents, and either a brown Carhartt-style jacket or a light-coloured jacket with layers.
