WINNIPEG — Gerald Lemer, 59, faces a number of child pornography charges after hundreds of videos and thousands of images were discovered.
Winnipeg police were alerted about a number of “illicit images” being uploaded to an IP address in the Winnipeg area.
Officers executed a search warrant on Oct. 26 in connection to the IP address.
“Investigators found it was a significant amount,” Winnipeg Police Chief Danny Smyth said Tuesday.
Lemer was charged with possession of child pornography and two counts of distributing child pornography.
