RCMP believe near-zero visibility was a factor in a deadly collision in southern Alberta Friday morning.
At around 9 a.m., RCMP were called to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 36 northwest of Brooks, Alta. Police said two tractor trailer units were involved in the crash.

The driver of one of the units, a man from Manitoba, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The man driving the other unit, who is from Alberta, was taken to hospital in Brooks with minor injuries.
Police said the area was covered in dense fog at the time of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
Brooks is located about 190 kilometres southeast of Calgary.
