Two teens charged after 7-Eleven robbed in Regina

Some tense moments for staff at a 7-Eleven along Dewdney Avenue last night after two people entered armed with weapons.

Police responded at 11:15 p.m. after a 911 call came from three staff members who locked themselves in the washroom.

Employees say two masked men entered carrying guns, a bat and a sword and pointed them at staff.

Nobody was injured but the pair made off with some cash.

The canine unit tracked the suspects to a residence in the 900 block of Rae Street where the suspects fled and were arrested a short time later in the 800 block of Angust Street.

A 15-and-17-year-old are both facing armed robbery charged and will appear in court later this morning.
