The latest health and medical news emailed to you every Sunday.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid showed up at the hospital, armed with a signed jersey and other gifts for his biggest fan.

According to Rheanna’s aunt, Chelsea McDonald, her niece said meeting her hero made it “the best day ever” as she grinned ear-to-ear.

Since Global News first reported Rheanna’s grim prognosis last week, dozens of strangers have stepped up to offer to help her check items off her bucket list.

Thanks to the outpouring of generosity, the Trepanier family is in the process of setting up dog-sledding tours, horseback riding adventures and a trip to Legoland, which will also check off Rheanna’s wish to go on a plane ride.
