Saskatoon city council awarded a contract worth $56.75 million to PCL Construction Management Inc., which has been tasked with building two interchanges for the city.
One will be situated at Highway 16 and Boychuk Drive at a price of $27.25 million. The other is planned for McOrmond Drive and College Drive, which is expected to cost $29.50 million.

The civic, provincial and federal governments have agreed to each pay one third of the cost up to $14.7 million each for the Highway 16-Boychuk interchange.
The McOrmond-College interchange will be paid for through developer contributions and the interchange levy.
The total project cost for the two interchanges is about $29 million less than originally anticipated, according to a report from city administration.
Three proponents were pre-qualified during the requests for proposals, the report said.
“Substantial completion” of the McOrmond-College interchange is targeted for Oct. 31, 2018, and July 31, 2019, for the Highway 16-Boychuk interchange.
