“I’m very optimistic about the Green Party’s future in Manitoba,” Beddome said in a press release. “We came out of last year’s election stronger than at any time in our history and we have attracted many new faces to our party and our council.”

Beddome was first elected as leader in 2008, but stepped down briefly in 2013 to finish his law degree. He returned as leader again in 2014.
