The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has released dramatic security camera footage of an armed robbery at a Manhattan jewelry store Monday morning.
According to police, two men walked into the Jaeger-Lecoultre Jewelry Store on Madison Avenue just before 11:00 Monday morning wearing hats, sunglasses, and balaclavas.
The first man then produced a semi-automatic pistol and demanded store employees lie down on the floor. As that was happening, the second man used a claw hammer to smash two display cases.
According to police, the two men grabbed five luxury watches with a combined value of US$300,000 before fleeing the store. None of the store employees was injured.
Anyone with information on the identity of whereabouts of the two men is urged to contact the NYPD.
