WINNIPEG — Fire crews were sent to the Cityplace food court early Tuesday morning after a fire broke out in a restaurant kitchen.
Firefighters were called to scene to 333 st. Mary Ave. around 1:45 a.m.

The sprinkler system went off, causing damage to the second floor of the mall.
The blaze also caused smoke damage.
A nearby Winnipeg 3-1-1 call centre was evacuated as a result.
No one was injured.
There’s no word yet on how much the damage will cost or what caused the fire.
