Halifax Regional Police say they are investigating whether 58-year-old Terrance Izzard, Halifax’s most recent homicide victim, was the intended target of Monday night’s shooting in the city’s north end.
Izzard was found suffering from life-threatening injuries shortly after 11 p.m. Monday night, after police were called to Cragg Avenue following reports of shots being fired.

Izzard was taken to hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
In a plea for information about the death, which was declared a homicide on Tuesday, police said they are “exploring that Mr. Izzard may not have been the intended target of this shooting.”
HRP say they believe there are witnesses to this crime, and are asking them to come forward.

In addition, HRP is looking for information about a vehicle that may have fled from the surrounding area — Gottingen, Uniacke, Brunswick or Maitland streets between 11 and 11:10 Monday night.
