Anti-Trump rally to be held in Kelowna

They have been held across North America since the highly-anticipated U.S. election on Nov. 8, and now an anti-Donald Trump rally will be held in Kelowna.

“This will be a peaceful, non-violent, family friendly event,” said rally organizer Darin Howard. “It will be effective.”

The Kelowna resident has organized the rally for Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Sails in Downtown Kelowna starting at 2 p.m.

“Donald Trump has publicly stated racism and hatred are fine with him and his followers,” said Howard. “We as intelligent, motivated people must stand up publicly against his stated values.”

The rally will include a number of speakers who will address the impact of Trump’s presidency on Okanagan residents and the rest of Canadians.
