People across the country will be attending events and marking a moment of silence this morning in honour our Canada’s veterans.
In Vancouver, the Remembrance Day Ceremony and Parade began at 9:45 a.m. at the Victory Square Cenotaph at West Hastings Street and Cambie Street.
It featured the performance by the Vancouver Bach Youth Choir and Sarabande.
Veterans and military marching units and bands were led to the Victory Square for the cenotaph ceremony and the Last Post.

Two minutes of silence were observed, during which a 21-gun salute by the 15th Field Artillery Regiment was heard from Portside Park.
Lament and Rouse followed.
“In Flanders Fields” was sung by the Bach Youth Choir and Sarabande and wreaths were placed at the Cenotaph, followed by a performance by the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service and the Regimental Pipes and Drums of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada.
The main parade marched west along Hastings Street, past the reviewing stand between Homer and Richards, turning right at Richards, east on Cordova and then south on to Cambie.

Remembrance Day ceremonies were also held at Memorial South Park Cenotaph, Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, Japanese Canadian War Memorial in Stanley Park, Grandview Park, CRAB Park at Portside and Chinatown Memorial.
Vehicles displaying B.C. veteran licence plates will be exempt from parking fees today.
