While speaking with guest co-host Megyn Kelly on Wednesday morning, Ripa joked that after one particularly bad Botox injection, it took six months before she was able to show off her “good side.”

“I got bad Botox about… what was it, a year ago? OK, who’s counting. And it was bad,” Ripa admitted. “It did something to my good side, so then I had two bad sides. I’m not kidding!”

The 46-year-old talk show host said she wouldn’t “talk about it beyond that,” but did admit the situation has improved.

She went on, “I’m starting to look like myself again, but there was about a six-month period where people were like, ‘What’s wrong with Kelly? She doesn’t smile anymore.’ And I’m like, ‘I am smiling!’”

In August 2015, Ripa was quick to weigh in on the subject of “resting bitch face” during a conversation with Michael Strahan.

“They are saying that women are going to seek plastic surgery to have their resting b-faces corrected,” Ripa revealed. “I say don’t be such a B and maybe you won’t have an RBF. Am I wrong or am I right?”

Strahan then replied, “Some people always have the face where you have to say, ‘What’s wrong? Are you OK?'”

“That’s why I got Botox! I got Botox here [pointing to her forehead] because people kept saying ‘Are you OK?’ and I’m like ‘I’m fine, why?’ ‘You look like you’re angry,'” Ripa revealed. “I was like, ‘Then it’s time to get Botox.'”

The mother of three boasted about the miracles of Botox in a 2014 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “It’s cut my getting-ready time in half,” she revealed about her morning routine. “I’m not advocating for it one way or the other. I’m just saying Botox changed my life.”
