A restaurant in Toronto made famous by the late Rob Ford has gone up in smoke.
Fire crews were called to the Steak Queen restaurant in Etobicoke around 1 a.m. on Tuesday to find the building’s roof billowing with flames.
A Toronto Fire Services spokesman told Global News the estimated dollar loss is over $500,000. He said the fire was mostly contained to the roof area, adding there was smoke and water damage throughout the restaurant.
Toronto police said the restaurant was closed at the time and no injuries were reported. The Office of the Fire Marshal is investigating.
