One person is still in hospital and another person has since been released.

Vancouver Police confirmed there were multiple stabbings between two groups of people at the plaza and say the incident was not random. The motive for the attack is not known at this time and police are still working on how the victims may be linked.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday, two groups of men got into an “altercation” near the taxi stand at the Plaza of Nations and a fight broke out, according to police.

When officers arrived, they found two men in their 20s with serious stab wounds. Both men were rushed to hospital in critical condition and one of them, a 25-year-old Burnaby man, died of his injuries. The other, a 23-year-old man, remains in hospital.
