Elizabeth was only 25 when she was crowned in 1953, and it was one of the most tumultuous times in the history of the United Kingdom.

In the latest Netflix original series (which will also be available on Netflix Canada, starting Nov. 4), The Crown follows the coronation of Elizabeth  (Claire Foy) and her early days on the throne.

From her at-times-rocky marriage with her husband, Prince Philip (Matt Smith, formerly of Doctor Who), to her political relationship with then-Prime Minister Winston Churchill (John Lithgow), the series goes behind the closed doors of royalty.
