Updated: One man in hospital after daylight shooting in Delta

Delta Police are investigating a daylight shooting that left one man hospitalized Monday morning.

Police said the alleged shooting occurred at 11:15 a.m. near 92 Avenue and 120 Street. Witnesses say the victim, who police confirm is a 25-year-old male, was shot while cleaning his car at Elite Auto Spa.

A vehicle that police believe to be the suspect car — which was only described as being a dark, smaller import — was seen fleeing the scene northbound on 120 Street.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries to his lower body. Police say he is being “uncooperative” as investigators attempt to gather more information.

Police would not comment on whether the shooting was a drive-by.
