Even on the debate stage, Donald Trump would not guarantee that he would accept the results of the presidential election should he lose.
Debate moderator Chris Wallace pointed out to Trump that his running mate, Mike Pence, and his own daughter, Ivanka Trump, have suggested the Republican nominee would accept the results of the Nov. 8 vote, but the candidate himself wouldn’t get on side with that.
“Do you make the same commitment that you will absolutely… accept the result of this election?” Wallace asked.
“I’ll look at it at the time,” Trump responded. “I’m not looking at anything now, I’ll look at it at the time.”
He went on to again blame the “corrupt” media and coverage of his campaign, saying it has “poisoned the minds of the voters.”
He also went on to cite reports that there are “millions of people registered to vote that shouldn’t be registered to vote.” That is one of a number of claims of fraud that Trump has repeated on the campaign trail that have since been debunked.

Wallace said it was a proud tradition in the U.S. presidential elections that the “loser concedes to the winner and that the country comes together.”
Trump remained obtuse about the call to respect the outcome of the election.
“I will tell you at the time. I will keep you in suspense,” he told Wallace.
Clinton called Trump’s response “horrifying.”
“I for one am appalled that someone who is the nominee of one of our two major parties would take such a position,” she said after laying out a string of past incidents in which Trump claimed situations were rigged against him.
One such incident she cited was Trump claiming the Emmy Awards were rigged when his former reality TV show, The Apprentice, failed to win.
“I should have gotten it,” Trump interrupted.
“This is a mindset. This is how Donald thinks,” Clinton said. “And it’s funny, but it’s also really troubling.”
