Men shot in deadly drive-by in Etobicoke were targeted: police

Toronto police say the victims of a fatal drive-by shooting in Rexdale on Tuesday were targeted.

Authorities said the shooting happened just before 6 p.m. near Albion Road and Silverstone Drive.

Police said a car pulled up to another vehicle are started firing, injuring two males inside.

Both were transported to hospital in critical condition. A 28-year-old man died of his injuries while a 24-year-old male remains in serious condition.

The deceased was identified as Christian Saarah of Toronto. Police said he had no prior criminal history.

Investigators said they have yet to interview the second shooting victim.

Police have not released any suspect description but are looking for a white vehicle that fled the scene.
