Man shot in north Edmonton home invasion: police

A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital Tuesday morning after he was shot during a home invasion in north Edmonton, police said in a media release late Tuesday morning.

Police were called to a home in the area of 120 Avenue and 125 Street just after 7 a.m. where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said three men dressed in black clothes entered the house, sprayed bear spray and shot the man who was inside the home at the time.

The man was treated on scene by EMS and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else inside the home was injured.

Officers believe the shooting was targeted. The suspects were not arrested.

The shooting is still under investigation.
