A Calgary not-for-profit that provides professional attire to disadvantaged women will soon be moving to a new location.
Dress for Success Calgary has been situated in Southcentre Mall since 2013, but the store is moving to a larger and more centrally located boutique in Inglewood.
Women come to Dress for Success Calgary by referral after having completed job-training programs from local social service agencies and non-profit organizations. Each client receives one interview suit in her first visit and, once she finds work, receives additional attire to help her in her new career.
Boutique co-coordinator and stylist Sally Walls said the new space allows them to move in a more creative direction.

“We now have room to grow our client services, accept more clothing donations with an increased storage space and are more accessible in Inglewood’s central location,” Walls said in a news release.
The new store is located in the Servants Anonymous building in the 1000 block of 14 Street S.E.
“We are excited for the new partnership with Servants Anonymous who also work to enrich and empower women in Calgary and align well with our mission and vision,” board chair Ayden Majid said. “Through our new location and partnership, we will continue to empower women to thrive in work and life.”
“Dress for Success Calgary is much more than just a suiting service – we change lives. It’s as simple as that.”
The new Dress for Success Calgary boutique opens its doors on Oct. 25
