Global Edmonton’s new campaign features iHuman street artists

Global Edmonton’s station image campaign has launched, and it has many people asking about the artists we are featuring in it.

Global Edmonton is deeply rooted in Our City, supporting hundreds of community and charitable groups each year and promoting Our City’s major sporting teams, festivals and events, as the exclusive television sponsor! We take pride in Our City and all things Edmonton … our music, our arts, our theatre, our sports, our festivals!

The campaign took a grassroots, very hyper-local approach to promoting Global Edmonton by showcasing some of the talented, emerging artists in Our City!

Local hip-hop duo, Touch and Nato wrote, produced and performed a 30 second music track to tie in to our campaign and reflect our connection to the things that make up our city! Global Edmonton is very proud to be associated with this internationally respected duo. They are very passionate about Our City and use their music as an opportunity to express that.

The second promo spot in the series features local Edmonton musical group REND performing one of their original songs in a downtown LRT station. REND is a soul, rock, indie, pop band – fresh, energy filled and inspiring! They have a musical vision to bring musical and lyrical substance to their music, noticeably in the anthem-like chorus in “Battlecry”.
