A recent poll by Mainstreet suggests Regina residents like the new Mosaic stadium.
According to Mainstreet, 51 per cent “strongly approve” of the new stadium and 25 per cent “somewhat approve.” Thirteen per cent disapprove in some way while 11 per cent were not sure.
Highest approval for the stadium came from people ages 18-34, with 80 per cent of that age group approving in some way. In comparison, only 73 per cent of people 65 and older approved.

The stadium in Regina received much higher approval than Rogers Place in Edmonton. In an August poll, only 44 per cent of Edmonton residents surveyed approved with 39 per cent disapproving.
“Unlike Rogers Place, New Mosaic Stadium appears to have had a smoother ride with less debate and contention surrounding the development,” David Valentin, executive vice-president of Mainstreet Research, said in a statement.
“Claims by Mayor Michael Fougere that the facility was on time and on budget throughout construction also likely played a role in the high approval the facility receives today.”
A total of 603 Regina residents were surveyed on Oct. 12, with a mix of landlines and cellphones used. The margin of error is estimated at +/- 3.99 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
