No humans were injured as a result of the fire and firefighters were able to rescue two dogs and a cat from the home.

Crews with Edmonton Fire Rescue Services were called to the Lee Ridge Mobile Home Park on Lee Ridge Road at 11:42 a.m. after a neighbour reported flames and smoke could be seen at the property.

“The fire was very involved,” District Chief John Iwaniuk said. “With a lot of the initial flame, they fought a lot of it exterior-wise…it was very stubborn from the interior.

“The two dogs that were taken out are doing just fine.”

Crews were able to put the fire out by 2 p.m. and said the blaze did not affect any surrounding homes.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire or how extensive the damage is.
