Edmonton Oilers defenceman Brandon Davidson has been placed on injured reserve.
Davidson left Wednesday night’s game against the Calgary Flames during the second period and didn’t return.
“Davi will be out for a while. Upper body injury not a head or concussion problem, but an upper body injury,” Oilers head coach Todd McLellan said on Thursday.

The 25-year-old defenceman missed time during the pre-season after taking a hit to the head from the Los Angeles Kings’ Tanner Pearson. Pearson was suspended for the remainder of the pre-season and two regular season games for the hit.
Davidson also missed time last season with a knee injury.
