The northbound lane of St-Charles is closed Oct. 11 and 12, blocking access to the westbound lane of Highway 20.

The roadwork has made getting onto the 20 at all a major headache, with traffic backing up during Tuesday morning’s rush hour.

The work is being done by the city of Montreal’s public works team to fix a faulty valve. Montreal officials say the closure will be short.

But the northward commute to Highway 20 will still be problematic, as the road narrows to one lane heading north until the end of October.
