The 13-year-old girl who went missing in Toronto’s east end on Wednesday has been found.
The girl’s father told Global News Friday morning the girl had returned home safe and sound and is now with her family.
Const. Caroline de Kloet said Laraib Mukhtar was found around 9 p.m. Thursday. No further details about her disappearance have been released at this time.

Laraib Mukhtar was reported missing when her father was unable to find her after school on Wednesday. Toronto police said Mukhtar was last seen around 9 a.m. in the Dawes Road and Gower Avenue area on her way to school.
Const. Jenifferjit Sidhu told Global News Mukhtar had never gone missing before and she is not known to police, adding her disappearance was “out of character.”
