Toronto police have arrested a man after an officer said he was assaulted for issuing a parking ticket in North York on Tuesday evening.
Police said the parking enforcement officer placed a ticket on the windshield of a car that was illegally parked on Havenbrook Boulevard near Skyview Crescent. That’s when the officer said the owner of the vehicle confronted him.

The officer said the car owner abused him and demanded the ticket be withdrawn.
When the officer started to walk away, police said he was assaulted by the vehicle owner.
Police arrested 28-year-old Theodore Green of Toronto and charged him with assault of a peace officer.
