Regina police searching for suspect in morning robbery

Regina police are investigating after a woman had her bag snatched early Saturday morning in the 1900-block of Ottawa Street.

According to police, the woman was approached from behind by a man who had asked for money.

When she turned around to face him, she was pushed to the ground. Her bag was stolen and the man fled the area. She suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as being of aboriginal descent, approximately five-foot five with a muscular build. He has a pockmarked face with shoulder-length brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

He appeared to be between 40 and 50 years old.
