Police cruisers were parked outside of Bishop Grandin High School in southwest Calgary all day Friday after the school said it received a written threat.
Police confirm two school resource officers spent the day there because of an unspecified threat.
In a letter sent home to parents, school principal Norm Martin said the threat was directed at school administration.
“Although we do not wish to alarm the school community, our practice is to share information with our parents and students,” Martin said in the letter.
It goes on to say that the school is working with police to monitor the situation closely.
The Calgary Catholic School Board said nothing took place at the school Friday. It couldn’t say whether resource officers were expected back at the school on Monday.
