The Saskatoon kennel where 14 dogs died earlier in September has changed its heating and air conditioning system.
A Playful Paws Pet Centre Facebook post says an electrical malfunction caused the facility to heat up.

The kennel says equipment has been repaired and replaced.
New sensors are now in place that will set off an alarm if the centre gets too hot or too cold.
According to the post, the sensors have been placed in seven locations in the facility and will set off the security alarm if the temperature goes up to 27 C or drops to 12 C.
The 14 dogs were found dead on Sept. 10 due to heat exhaustion.

One employee told Global News the temperature in the boarding room was 37 C, enough to warp paint on the walls.
The incident is still under investigation.
