Kim Kardashian was nearly attacked earlier today in Paris. The culprit was none other than Ukranian “prankster” Vitalii Sediuk.

Kardashian had just exited her vehicle when Sediuk lunged toward her in what looked to be an attempt to kiss her famous posterior. The reality star’s longtime bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, was quick to intervene before any contact was made, tackling Sediuk and pinning him to the ground. Kardashian was seemingly unaware of what was happening until the attacker was apprehended. She later praised Duvier’s rapid reaction on Twitter.

This was Sediuk’s second run-in with Kardashian. In September 2014, he lunged at her as she was entering the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week with husband Kanye West and mother Kris Jenner.

Last week Sediuk made headlines when he grabbed and lifted Gigi Hadid in the air as she exited the Max Mara fashion show in Milan. The model was quick to react and elbowed him in the face before he dropped her and ran off.

No stranger to controversy, Sediuk has a long history of inappropriately interacting with celebrities on the red carpet. In 2014, he crawled under America Ferrera‘s dress at the Cannes Film Festival, and he attacked Brad Pitt on the red carpet at the Maleficent premiere in Los Angeles that same year, leading the FBI to ban him from entering the United States.
