The vandalism spree is estimated to have caused about $100,000 in damage.

Police believe the vehicles were randomly targeted in the Holyrood area (75 Street to 85 Street and 93 Avenue to 98 Avenue) between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Elizabeth Wheeler said the police came to her door Saturday morning to tell her what had happened. Having no idea her vehicle was damaged, she went outside to assess the situation.

Wheeler’s SUV had scratches on almost every surface, her driver-side mirror was broken and the driver-side door was dented.

“I just don’t know why. It’s very senseless.”

To add insult to injury, the culprit scratched all of her bumper stickers, which she’s spent years collecting.

“Those are sentimental and that’s the part I’m probably most bummed about.”

While insurance will cover the $7,000 worth of damage to her vehicle, Wheeler said it’s an added stress she and other residents shouldn’t have to deal with.

“There’s a lot of people struggling right now that don’t have work and I’m one of them,” she said. “The deductible is money I don’t necessarily have right now.

“I’m already in a stressful situation and he’s just adding to it. There’s no reason. It’s just senseless.”

The EPS released photos and video, hoping the public can help identify the suspect.
