The world reacted strongly to the news that actress Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, her husband of two years, so imagine how their close friends would react?
Actor George Clooney, 55, a well-known friend of Pitt and Jolie, apparently had no idea that the couple had split, and found out through the media.

At Tuesday’s Leaders Summit for Refugees at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, a CNN reporter caught up with Clooney and told him the news.
“What happened?” A shocked Clooney asked. “I didn’t know that. I feel very sorry then.”
The Tomorrowland star went on to say how sorry he was about the family breaking up.
Pitt and Jolie have been together since 2004, and were just officially married in 2014. They have six children together.

While there is a scarcity of verified information available, TMZ is reporting that Jolie filed for divorce due to Pitt’s “parenting of the children.” She was reportedly “extremely upset” with his methods.

While TMZ says that there is “no third person” involved in the split, other sources say that actress Marion Cotillard, who is Pitt’s co-star in the upcoming movie Allied, may have caused a rift between the couple.
