WINNIPEG — A Winnipeg restroom is vying for a prestigious title and it needs your vote.

The bathroom at the Assininboine Park Lyric Theatre is a finalist for the “Cintas Canada’s best restroom contest.” It was selected for its eye-catching, colourful restrooms made from upcycled shipping containers.

The contest shines a light on the most stunning of public restrooms based on cleanliness, innovation and functionality.

“This year’s nominees made it nearly impossible to narrow them down to only five finalists,” said Shawn King, marketing manager, Cintas Corp.

The top five include:

  1. W Montreal – Montreal, Que.
  2. Sauce Italian Kitchen & Market – Calgary, Alta.
  3. Assiniboine Park Lyric Theatre- Winnipeg, Man.
  4. Whitecourt Esso Super Station – Whitecourt, Alta.
  5. East Village – Calgary, Alta.

The winner will receive the royal restroom treatment from Cintas with $2,500 in facility services for the upkeep of their restrooms.
