Sources tell Global News at least three people have been arrested in connection with a double homicide in East Vancouver over the weekend.

The incident happened on East 8th Avenue between Richmond Street and Blair Avenue.

Witnesses say there was a police pursuit with bean bag rounds reportedly fired at the suspects.

The area was locked down for several hours.

At least two suspects were seen being loaded into police vehicles.

On Saturday, the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered in a East Vancouver home.

Police have now confirmed their deaths are homicides.

Vancouver Police are not disclosing a lot of information other than describing the investigation as a “delicate unfolding situation.”

This is Vancouver’s sixth and seventh homicides of the year.
