A 27-year-old man is in hospital after being hit by a car on Jasper Avenue, Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 7:00a.m. on Jasper Avenue at 112th Street. Officers say the driver of the car struck the pedestrian and continued on to slam into a pole. It appears as though the car also hit a concrete garbage bin, as concrete debris was scattered throughout the intersection.
Police say the pedestrian was taken to hospital and is being treated for serious but, non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, also a male, was also taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The 18 year old driver of the car has been charged with impaired driving, and other charges are pending.
