A 59-year-old cyclist ordering food at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Oakville, Ont. suffered “life-altering injuries” after a car jumped a curb and pinned him against the pick up window Wednesday night.
Halton Regional Police said the incident took place just before 7 p.m. Wednesday at the fast food chain located at 1500 Upper Middle Rd. West, near Third Line and Upper Middle Road.
Police said the man was completing an order on a bicycle, when a Grey BMW driven by a 75-year-old lost control and pinned him against the building.
The cyclist was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was initially arrested at the scene but later released. There’s no word yet if any charges will be laid.
