The Public Prosecution Service of Canada says the teen admitted to counselling the commission of an indictable offence at the direction of, or in association with, a terrorist group.
In a release, it says the teen, who cannot be named, was 16 at the time of the offence.
No other details have been provided regarding the charges.
A spokesperson for the public prosecution service couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
