WINNIPEG — Winnipegers are being given the chance to take a walk back in time Sunday.
The Armstrong Point neighbourhood has opened its doors up to the public to take a look inside the historic homes in the neighbourhood to appreciate the heritage Winnipeg has hidden within it.
The event includes nine homes open for touring, antique cars on display to join the historic atmosphere and and barbershop quartet.
Organizers said they want this event to be on the radar of Winnipegers because they believe there is so much history hidden within our city that we don’t often take the time to recognize and appreciate.
Organizers also added that the Armstrong Point neighbourhood is scheduled to be the first officially designated heritage neighbourhood in Winnipeg soon.
The event takes place in the Armstrong Point neighbourhood until 4 p.m. Sunday September 11, 2016.
