A man is in life-threatening condition after being shot in the head in Liberty Village early Sunday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the Mowat Avenue and Liberty Street area, south-east of Dufferin Street and King Street West, just after 4 a.m. where they found the victim near a restaurant with a gunshot wound.

Toronto Paramedics rushed the man to hospital with a police escort.

Police are canvassing the area and searching for surveillance video.

Investigators haven’t released suspect descriptions.
