Conservative social and political commentator Ann Coulter argued on Tuesday that Comedy Central altered her comedy set at The Roast of Rob Lowe to make it look much worse than it actually was.
Coulter isn’t blaming her poor joke writing, but Comedy Central’s editing for how bad she came off to viewers.
Comedian Mike Lawrence, who won Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle was hired as a writer for Comedy Central The Roast of Rob Lowe. In a Facebook Live video, Lawrence said that Coulter refused to use any of his jokes and instead wrote with some of her friends, which ended up being a dreadful choice.

When questioned, she said “They didn’t seem to be wanting to do me any favours, and you can do a lot in film editing. I wish they had just run the whole roast straight without their editing.”
Coulter was at the Roast as part of her book tour for In Trump We Trust, but in the end she was the butt of numerous jokes and she also bombed her own set when her time at the mic arrived.
The Conservative author had most of her jokes met with complete silence and she was heckled by Pete Davidson after saying, “I once thought Pete Davidson was once like Obama, a biracial goofball who ruined a beloved institution, but it turns out I was wrong. Pete’s not biracial.”

Coulter took the stage and plugged her new book, which earned a generous amount of boos from the crowd. “I know it’s pretty shameless, but I’m on stage with a guy who made two Joe Dirt films, so how shameless can I be,” she said. It was one of the few jokes that managed to make some people chuckle.
Her set lasted a little over six minutes and was full of awkward moments and tense laughter for viewers.
Musical guest Jewel said, “I do want to say as a feminist that I can’t support everything that’s been said tonight. But as someone who hates Ann Coulter, I’m delighted.”
Many viewers quickly noted that Coulter did not look happy.
