Saskatoon police said a woman and a teenager escaped unlawful confinement and ran to safety on Sunday.
At around 4:45 a.m. CT, police made a vehicle stop on Spadina Crescent near the Queen Elizabeth Power Station.

Initially, the driver of the vehicle accelerated to almost 120 kilometres per hour and turned off the headlights in an effort to evade police, but later stopped.
Once the vehicle came to a stop, officers said two people got out and ran to them. The woman and teenage girl reported they were being held against their will, assaulted and robbed.
Three men and a woman still inside the vehicle were taken into custody.
They are facing charges of robbery and unlawful confinement. The driver was also charged with evading police and breaching court-ordered conditions.

They were scheduled to appear before a justice of the peace on Sunday evening.
Members of the targeted enforcement unit were called out to assist with the investigation.
