A Utah woman who was told she would never give birth due to brain cancer as a child, got the shock of a lifetime when she was taken to hospital Sunday after suffering a seizure.
Calvin Williams was awoken Sunday morning to his wife, Brooke, having a seizure. Williams called 911 and his wife was rushed to hospital where doctors were baffled at what was causing her convulsions.

The couple was told that Brooke was eight months pregnant.
“I just honestly stared at her and didn’t know,” Williams said.
After suffering her sixth seizure that morning, doctors decided to perform an emergency C-section on Brooke.
The couple welcomed their surprise baby girl later that afternoon.
“It’s crazy, it’s a miracle,” Williams said. “Without any prenatal care, being a month early. She’s 5 pounds 8 ounces, 18 inches long and she’s great.”
According to Williams, he and his wife never had any indication she was pregnant.
“She never had any sickness. She never felt her stomach move,” Williams said.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by the couple to help cover the costs of the surprise birth, the cancer treatment Brooke experienced as a child had a major effect on her reproductive system.
“Because of her cancer she gets irregular periods that either last two weeks or are nonexistent for 5 or more months,” the site said.
Williams said he understands why some people may be skeptical that the couple didn’t know they were pregnant.
“Me and my wife are the ones that make fun of those people,” Williams joked.
Now that his little daughter has proved doctors wrong, Williams is still trying to get comfortable in his new role.
“Just a whirlwind,” Williams said. “It’s been crazy. I’ve had every emotion, really.”
